what if

It all starts with a "what if"; with considering the possibilities, with wondering what if–

What if you would look at me differently

If you could accept me for who i am

And i could accept you

If you could learn to love me

And me, you

If you could forgive my past

And i forgive yours

If you could want a future with me

A family

A home

If you could look at me with warmth in those eyes

As you wonder too

And those curious thoughts, those considerations, those innocent "what ifs"–

Thats where my heart is the weakest

And i am in danger

of falling
